Finally, fall seems to have taken over the Pacific Northwest; sunshine and wispy clouds have been replaced by the constant drizzle and gray skies of Seattle. Now is when we earn our reputation for being the place where it always rains. Keep it a secret that spring and summer are GORGEOUS; housing prices are already high enough. :>)
At Sacredly Made we are busy enjoying the smells of pumpkin spice soap bubbling on the stovetop and our always refreshing lemon verbena. We continue to maintain our commitment to health education and amazing products. You CAN take care of your body without sacrificing the pampering. Healthy can both feel and smell wonderful...and it SHOULD.
Folks continue to be surprised to learn that skin is our largest organ and we absorb what we put on our skin, both good and bad. Think about how a nicotene patch works for folks who are quitting smoking, they are able to absorb enough of that drug to replace what they were getting from the tobacco products. This should tell you that what you put on your skin is not unlike what you put in your mouth. We have the opportunity to
"feed" our bodies through our skin every time we step in the shower, wash our hands, moisturize our skin. HEMP is an excellent choice for nourishment. Hemp is rich in omega 3's just like salmon. It's vegan friendly and gluten free and it's truly soap and lotion for your brain.
Our soaps, lotions and lip balms and now our shea butter whips are all filled with seriously healthy stuff from nature along with our prayers for your health and happiness. Read your soap and lotion labels and ask yourself if you are soaking in chemicals like paraben, which has a KNOWN connection to breast cancer. No one else is going to take control of your health; it's the job and PRIVILEGE of every person to nourish and protect his/her body. YOU are sacredly made and the things you put on and in your body should be made that way too.
Start every day with a healthy breakfast, lots of exercise and the best skin care products you can find, drink LOTS of water
and feed your body with whole foods, simply prepared and organically and sustainably raised.
And always feed your spirit with the natural gifts of the planet.
-Making and selling the healthiest hand-made products we possibly can.
-Using nutrient rich hemp oil in every product we produce. (http://www.thehia.org/index.html)
-Eliminating all forms of paraben, lauryl sulfate, petroleum and synthetic dyes.
-Acting locally to improve economic and environmental sustainability globally by supporting micro-lending in less developed countries.
-Not testing on helpless animals, but on our children.
Please join us in the endeavor to improve our planet and its inhabitants by choosing natural products and reducing the footprint we each leave.
Say YES to hemp!! Say YES to nature!!
and say YES to micro-lending!!! (Read below!!)
Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies. Philippians 4:8
And while our products are healthy things to do for our BODIES, the healthiest thing for our spirits is to take the advice of St. Paul. We are all sacredly made...that's the big picture.
